A vibrant, energetic professional in the business community, Ruby has had diverse experience in various industries including manufacturing, finance and corporate education. Ruby currently assumes a corporate leadership role in a tech-focused Singapore-based firm, where she designs and leads change culture and heads the communications team. An advocate for nurturing and empowering people, Ruby sees herself as a “bridge builder” and actively engages with employees to identify various pain points and works with the management to develop and design suitable frameworks and solutions that help accomplish the organisation’s objectives sustainably. She is an Economics major from the University of Queensland, Australia, and is an MBA graduate from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Sophie is a seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience working for multinational corporations in China. With her global perspective and deep understanding of local business operations, she has successfully taken on senior managerial roles at companies such as Reuters, Thomson, and LexisNexis. Sophie has a proven track record in sales, marketing, business development, and product development, and has gained extensive experience in these areas throughout her career. She holds both a BA and an MBA degree.
Adrian runs a boutique outsourcing company, Omni Data Services (Hong Kong) Limited. Before forming Omni in 2005, Adrian’s career advanced through various marketing, circulation and IT roles at several notable publishing companies in the UK, Canada and the United States. Having graduated in International Marketing from London in 1991, he has overseen the transition of many magazines from print to digital. As a result, Omni’s clients are predominantly publishing and communications companies in North America, as well as Hong Kong and China, to which Adrian supplies outsourced call center services (subscription renewals, data validation and mining), CRM systems (specializing in Salesforce), web development, EDM design & implementation, and digital marketing programs.
Christopher arrived in Hong Kong in 2007 after brief stints in Beijing and London. Originally from the United States, Christopher began his career working for the Walt Disney Company’s International Labour Standards Group in Los Angeles. He moved over to the finance industry first as an investment analyst for Hamon Investment Group before becoming a fund manager at Union Bancaire Privée, a Swiss private bank. As a European educated, Asian American, Christopher is a natural communicator, allowing him to translate foreign concepts and ideas into local terminology. This allowed Christopher to transition into financial journalism where he worked for the Motley Fool, and most recently served as Deputy Editor for FinanceAsia. Christopher holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from Cambridge University. As an undergraduate, he doubled majored in Mathematical Economics and Psychology from Pitzer College in Claremont California.
With over 19 years of experience in media, marketing and eCommerce, Andy has worked on creative, eCommerce and digital projects covering sectors such as Travel, Airlines, Tourism, Luxury Retail, Technology, Recruitment, Media and Retail Banking. Andy started as a designer, and has leveraged his design skills to move into digital marketing, e-commerce in particular. He has extensive experience in developing such campaigns and delivering actionable consumer insight to some major global brands, including, Thai Airways, Garuda Airlines, House of AENEA Beauty, Grand Hyatt, Raffles, DBS, Ferragamo, DeBeers, Canvas Beauty.
Poe has 10 years’ experience in digital marketing and media and is the founder of Kickoff Marketing, which delivers B2B lead generation and community building for clients. Using a variety of digital channels, Poe runs operations to plan, create and schedule content to the client’s target audience, and follows up by defining, measuring and improving the KPIs outcomes associated with the project goals. With an MBA, as well as a BA in English and a Diploma in Accounting, Poe has the knowledge and skills to achieve high-performance for her international clients, and is positive, outstanding and energetic.
Shin is an experienced senior finance professional with an international exposure, having worked in various markets throughout Asia. In her career, she has led numerous Finance transformation projects which include ERP implementation, streamlining of finance processes to drive improved efficiency and costs’ optimisation and setting up of shared service teams/COE teams. She business partners with the stakeholders in the organization to drive growth in both financial topline and bottomline, both organically or inorganically. Shin was previously Asia Pacific CFO for Viacom and is currently the SVP Finance for AEG Asia She is an Accountancy graduate from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and is a chartered accountant, Singapore. Shin is fluent in both English and Chinese.
David came to Asia in 1991 with Reuters to be a catalyst for change in the finance function leading financial systems projects in the region and later moving on to the regional management team of their Media division. Leaving Reuters in 2002, he has subsequently served as Asia Pacific CFO for the Financial Times LexisNexis and Haymarket up to June 2020 also concurrently running business divisions and corporate strategy. David specialises in leading change in the finance function by re designing processes and utilising new technologies. He has also built a wide network of business partners in the region which has facilitated the outsourcing of non-core business activities thereby making substantial reductions in enterprise costs and enabling cost-effective business development. He is a Mathematics graduate from Oxford University a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
